This pub hasn’t changed at all from many years ago when I first stopped here on my way north. It’s nothing flash but there’s a great view out the back in the beer garden. The meals we had today for lunch were pretty good too. My partner had the rump steak which he said was very good. I had an entree sized salt and pepper squid and I have to say it’s the nicest S&P squid I’ve ever had. I wasn’t too hungry that’s why I ordered entree size and it was plentiful, they’re definitely not stingy on portions. The young woman serving was pleasant. I only gave 3 stars just because after all these years you’d think the owners would do it up a little. At least do the dining area up a bit, that would be nice. Other than that, good meals and always a pleasure to stop by on my travels.

Unfortunate that many people with reviews here have rated it negatively primarily based on the food served in the bistro. Was it the best chicken parmy I've had? No. Was it bad or inedible? Definitely not. Infact the salad and chips were quite nice and the staff were fantastic. It's a nice country pub with seats out the front overlooking the main street and a great view at the back. A great place for a drink. I did stay the night too. The rooms were clean, spacious and well priced. It's a classic country pub. And again, the bar staff and everyone were very friendly and nice.

Food was on point. We were both very happy with the Rump steak (cooked perfect MR) & schnitzel, plus the mushroom sauce was delicious. Food came out within 20mins while we took in the beautiful afternoon scenery. The beer was icey cold & the lines were clean. We camped across the road & will definitely be back for the duo. Do recommend !

The setting was picturesque but I wish our family had read the reviews of the Plough Inn before eating there. We ordered simple Burgers with a side of chips. The burgers not only took 45 minutes to arrive, they were inedible. After the first bite, I thought NO WAY CAN I EAT THIS! The meat in the burger tasted off. I removed the meat and set it aside, cutting it in it two to smell it, it was rank. Upon leaving, we reported it to the cook who made the burger, he did offer our money back. However, we said: "Mate it's not about the money, it's a health issue and you should have noticed". DO NOT RISK EATING HERE

Waited 35 minutes for The Works burger .Came out with no onion , pineapple or beetroot ,Was on a bruche bun which became all soggy cost $37-80 for 2 not worth half of that price. Will definitely not go back there again , only get ripped of once .

My new favourite place to eat & relax. The restaurant is neat & tidy. The staff are amazing, the food delicious & the price is great. Will definitely recommend this place.

Commenting on the Bistro. Had a great lunch. The Works burger had everything you would expect but the patty let it down. It was lacking flavor and if I was betting was freezer burned. The salt and pepper calamari was very good though.
